Feeding has topped 12,000 so far this year.

Todays school feeding of 235 Children made the total for the year of over 12,000. This is a wonderful blessing to all of us here in Fond Doux.

"Club Saturday" November 28, 2009

Today at "Club Saturday" we had 70 little Children. They all enjoyed a time of refreshments, listened to Bible Stories, and just had fun. For those who are able to attend on Saturday it is always a good time.

"Thanksgiving Day" 2009

In Haiti it is just another day as kids are rushing off to school and things continue as usual. To me it has always been my most favorite holiday, a time to spend with family and enjoy a day of turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce and then top it off with, and here is where I break with tradition, a big piece of cherry pie with vanilla ice cream. Alas there will be none of that today as Mom, Dad, and Sis are gone and the rest of the things mentioned are not available out here in the mountains where we live and work. I can be thankful and give God thanks for all of those many precious memories of days gone by. So, “Happy Thanksgiving”, have an extra helping for me and say a prayer for all of us here in Haiti. There were 213 Children fed today which brings the total for the year to 11,744. This does not count the ones that eat at our home each day.

Nathan's Birthday

Nathan is Mark Allen's little boy. She is a loving little boy that always wants to come and give Poppa Bob a hug. When he comes down from Port-au-Prince, the whole house goes on red alert as he is into everything. He is a sweet little guy. "Happy Birthday" Nathan.

What I promised you yesterday.

Mirlande has her baby. It was born yesterday in her little hut. Now listen to this. She worked here day before yesterday and told me she was going to see the Doctor yesterday. After seeing the Doctor and being informed that the baby could come anytime, she left to find a tap tap to come home on. None were available so she found a guy with a motorcycle who hauled people around. He agreed to bring her back to Fond Doux. When she arrived she hurried up to her little hut and sent a Child to find a woman to help her. Before the Child could find the lady to help her she had her baby. All alone she had the baby. Once it was born, she cut the cord and bathed it. Today Mother and Baby are doing fine.

Bible Studies can be so much more interesting if you can put something in their little stomachs. Here the kids are at Club Saturday enjoying refreshments along with Bible Studies and Games.

School Feeding Today

Today we fed 235 Children in School. This represents some Children from other Schools as well. This also makes the total to date this year over 11,000. Isn't that wonderful?

Jordanny's Birthday

Jordanny has been with me for the past 30 years. He is one of the most kind and gentle people you will ever know. If something goes wrong Jordanny is summoned as he is always willing to pray work or do whatever is necessary to help out. He is the husband of Clertide, and the father of Michaelle, David and Daniel. "Happy Birthday Jordanny."

Club Saturday Today

Seventy little Children showed up this morning for "Club Saturday" a morning of Bible Studies, Games, and refreshments. They all had a great time.

School Feeding today

Two hundred and twenty three Children were fed today at the "School Feeding Program." We are so thankful for those who make this possible. All of the kids look forward to this so much as many will receive no more hot meals today. This makes the total Children fed for the year at 10,943. Isn't that wonderful? Note: This does not include the number of Children fed at our Children's Home.

Jn. Mark's Birthday

Jn. Mark is the (Gofer) around here. He goes everywhere for everyone and never complains. He carries messages, goes to buy candy for other kids, and is always busy. He loves to play with the other kids. He is Marvick's right hand man. "Happy Birthday Jn. Mark." We love you.

Yesterday was another School Feeding Day for the Children here. We served 183 little Children a hot meal. Here are some of the Children enjoying their meal.

Club Saturday was held today with 70 Children participating. They really enjoyed themselves.

Thursday November 5, 2009

The School Feeding Program was on again today. We had 184 Children who were fed a hot meal. For many this is the only hot meal they will receive today. We are so thankful for those who help make this possible as over 10,000 Children have been fed this year.

Wednesday November 4, 2009

Today was another day that we fed the Children that came to school. Not only our school but others nearby are welcome to come and have a hot meal. Today we fed 184.

Tuesday November 3, 2009

Today we fed 174 Children in the School Feeding Program. This makes the total number of Children fed, not counting the home, to 10,093 for the year. We are so thankful for this program. It is such a blessing.

Celna

Celna, or the name I call her Ti Net, is a precious and hard working little girl. She lives close by with her brothers and mother. She helps us around the place here and is a part of our extended family of which we have many here now in Fond Doux. Faithful to her work and faithful to church as always wears a smile. You never hear much from her as she is quiet but you can tell she has been there because things are cleaner and neater. Happy Birthday Ti Net

Mark Allen's Birthday

Mark Allen, while he is the son of Andre and Violine, seems like a son to me. He was with me when he was little and now he has a son of his own. When he comes down from Port-au-Prince to see us he always comes and puts his arms around me and give me a kiss on the cheek. He is a precious young man. "Happy Birthday" son.

David's Birthday

Too much cannot be said concerning David. He helps in the church musical program, he ministers the word, he takes care of business for the home, he does all the electrical work that needs to be done, and he always has a smile. He is very valuable to us here at Royal Palm Children's home and everyone loves him. "Happy Birthday David."
