Christmas Eve Photos 2009

The kids had a great time on "Christmas Eve" this year. We made them sloppy joes, baked beans, and Cole Slaw. Each one received a sack full of cookies, candies, and popcorn. Gifts had not arrived from the States but will be here in January., Until then the tree stays up and another party is planned for that time as well. Thanks to everyone of you who has helped make this possible. Oh, by the way, we purchased a case of Corn Flakes and I will be putting pictures of this in the blog as well. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas

A woman was out Christmas shopping with her two children. After many hours of looking at row after row of toys and everything else imaginable; and after hours of hearing both her children asking for everything they saw on those many shelves, she finally made it to the elevator with her two kids.

She was feeling what so many of us feel during the holiday season time of the year - overwhelming pressure to go to every party, every housewarming, taste all the holiday food and treats, getting that perfect gift for every single person on our shopping list, making sure we don't forget anyone on our card list, and the pressure of making sure we respond to everyone who
sent us a card.

Finally the elevator doors opened, and there was already a crowd in the car. She pushed her way into the car and dragged her two kids in with her and all the bags of stuff. When the doors closed, she couldn't take it anymore and she stated, "Whoever started this whole Christmas thing should be found, strung up and shot."

From the back of the car, everyone heard a quiet, calm voice respond, "Don't worry, we already crucified Him." For the rest of the trip down in the elevator, it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. This year, don't forget to keep "the One who started this whole Christmas thing" in your every thought, deed, purchase, and words. If we all did it, just think of how different this whole world would be.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)

May your Christmas be full of joy and blessings.

Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin.

Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is. Don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now we can tell who children of God are and who children of the devil are. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God. 1 John 3:4-10 NLT
