I am married to Ray Peters daughter Sherri. I met you when you came to Camp Point. I can tell you that while Ray was in the Hospital we gathered in his room and they gave us a room outside intensive care for prayer. Our family spent many hours with Ray and many hours praying. There were people praying all over America for Ray to be healed and for Gods will to be done. We were told by many nurses that they were touched by the love that we gave Ray and the hours of prayer. Several nurses said that they wanted for their family what we had. Although Ray went home to be with the Lord I believe that there were many who were healed and made decisions to accept Christ. Ray preached his last sermon and went home to be with the Lord. Our family will miss Ray but as we near the midnight hour, we look forward to meet him in the Rapture. Ray's work lives on in the life's of our family and the many people his ministry touched. It was mentioned in the service that there should be a picture of Ray in the dictionary beside the definition of Pastor and I believe that to be true. I have never met a man who was more dedicated than Ray Peters. This man lived the life, he showed compassion, never spoke ill of anyone and led by example. Sherri and I live in Florida and anytime we needed help finding an answer we were looking for in the word we would call Ray, we will miss his help. Ray moved to Camp Point 41 years ago, shortly after Sherri and I were married on June 8, 1968. I know that Ray and Anne loved you and prayed for your work in Haiti. We will be praying for you and your work that God will give you strength and bless both you and the children. Pat Leigh Pensacola, FL (So many families cannot get along today. That is what makes this comment so refreshing.)
