Believe it or not

Someone asked me the other day, "I see the amount of food being placed on little Children's plates." Knowing how American Children leave so much on their place they went on. "isn't that a waste of food?" One of the things that astounded me the most when I first begin feeding Children in Haiti was he amount placed on their plate. After observing this for the past 42 years I can truthfully say that I have never once seen any food left on any of their plates. Another thing that I have noticed that there are never any "leftovers." No, the little ones eat all that is on their plates and the bigger ones could eat more if they had it. There is never a waste of food in Haiti like there is in the U.S. . I could easily feed my entire household with the food that is left on the plates in just one of the restaurant in the U.S. One of the reason they eat everything that is on their plates is because they do not have any snacks and for many this is the only hot meal their will have for the day.

Worth Sharing.

It's a tough, but heartwarming story ..... with a picture of John Gebhardt in Iraq . John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head ... but they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing. He is a real Star of the war, and represents what America is trying to do. James Gates U.. S. Navy

Club Saturday Sept. 26th. 2009

"Club Saturday" is what the kids call it. Every Saturday the Children gather to gather, play games, hear Bible Stories, and have a treat. They usually have bread and butter along with fresh juice. Sometimes, when we have it, they have peanut butter and bread. This is a special time for everyone.

School Feeding Sept. 25

Yesterday there were 96 Children who were fed in our "School Feeding Program." Here a girl is shown putting on the finishing touches. Feeding school Children is one of the greatest programs I know of. The older I get the more compassion and love I have for these little Children that cannot do it by themselves.

Hot Food today Septemberr 24, 2009

This picture is a blessing to all who know about our School Feeding Program. So many of the Children who come to school will not have a hot meal at home but here they have one. This picture was taken a few minutes ago as the Children received their hot meal. We were able to serve 84 Children today which makes a total of 8,052 Children that we have been able to feed so far this year. That does not include the Children in our home who are fed each day as well.

Today's School Feeding Program

Today we had another School Feeding. There were 96 Children present This is such a blessing as so many of he little children who eat at the school have practically nothing at home. For many this is the only hot meal they will receive for the day. God bless those who help make all this possible as they are fulfilling what the Bible teaches.

School Feeding Today

Today was the first School Feeding for this semester. On Saturday the children were treated to what they call, "Club Saturday" where they get together, learn Bible stories, sing, play, and have a treat of buttered bread and juice. The School enrollment is down as many families cannot afford to send their children to school and the funds have not come in for us to bear this expense as we have in times past. We are praying that funds will come in and we can enroll more in the next week or so. Please pray and believe God with us.

I am very sad this morning.

I am very sad this morning as I received some very tragic news last night. One of my dearest and closest friends was killed in an automobile accident. Freda Linn, the wife of Rev. Kenneth Linn of Bixby, Oklahoma, was in the car driven by her husband when it hydroplaned on a rain slick highway as they were returning home after having visited their daughter in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Ken and Freda have been my close friends for over 40 years and Freda helped me on my record album "If God Is Dead" when was produced in the early seventies. A devoted wife, a faithful Christian, a caring mother, and my friend is gone. She will always have a special place in my heart. Missionary Bob C. Jones

Betina's Birthday

Betina has been with us since she was six years old. I'll never forget when she first came she would be in the kitchen helping with the dinner instead of playing with the other kids. I encougaged her to go out and play with the kids and reluctantly she did. She is still a real worker and is striving to get her nurses degree and be a registered nurse. "Happy Birhday Betina."

Lude's Birthday

Lude came to us from a large family. The father had died and the mother could not take care of all the children. She is a precious little girl who is quite a dancer. She loves to turn on the radio and dance to the music. Everyone loves her so much. "Happy Birthday Lude,"
