"A day that will live in infamy."

These were the words of the American President Franklin D. Roosevelt as he spoke to the nation about the sneak attack on our naval fleet anchored at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Japanese Zeros bombed, strafed, and torpedoed the Oklahoma and other battle ships sending them to the bottom of the bay with thousands of young lives being lost. As a young boy I accompanied my parents to Long Beach, California where my Father and Mother both became welders and helped to produce the ships that were to go to war. Remember Pearl Harbor was the cry and never let us forget what happened to us on that fateful day. It upsets me for people to point the finger at the U.S. for dropping the A bomb on Hiroshima thus helping to end the war. If there had not been no Pearl Harbor there would not have been a Hiroshima.
